(O) TRAGO
Established in 2016, o Trago is a brazilian rock band formed by Rafael Mimi (Projeto Caixa Preta, Nx Zero), Fi Ricardo (Nx Zero), Yuri Nishida (Granada, VOWE, Nx Zero, Gloria) e Ale Labelle (BBGG). Following it since it’s formation as most of it’s members were close friends and peers of mine in the São Paulo Rock scene, I’ve illustrated release covers and designed branding assets for the band, as they’re displayed below.
A Ponte
The illustration for their first relased song carried the base for the following releases’ covers. It’s grainy and it’s stamp-like aspect was inspired by the song’s textures and mood.
Full Moon
The song’s hazy and eerie atmosphere brings up new elements as in the illustration, with a representation of an eclipse in contrast with it’s title, but in accordance with it’s lyrics
A Vida Satisfaz
Revealing a more delicate side of the band, a female tone aligns the cover with the song, sang by Ale Lebelle .
ARAUNA
Closing their first cycle of releases, Arauna presents more tracks and pays hommage to one of the band member’s Grandmother, being named after her. The cover illustration reached here it’s final form, displaying elements inspired by each song, suggesting the record’s more immersive aspects.
